The IFS Food is a GFSI recognized standards for the audit in the food industry for the safety and quality of food products and production processes. It covers companies that produce food or companies that pack loose food products. IFS Food applies when the products are "processed" or when there is a danger of product contamination during the primary packaging. The IFS Food standard is important for all food manufacturing companies especially those that produce private label, as it contains many requirements for compliance with the specifications.
